I actually have mine running on a slideshow program on a 42" TV in my store (I took a shot every 60 seconds from start to finish), have had MANY customers stand and watch the entire show, some multiple times. Its on a loop so it plays 24 hours a day. I have sold several prints of my "diamond ring" shot from the slideshow since I can print them while they wait.
Great public service. I'm sure most of your watchers very much 'preciate your running the slide show. Kudos!

First I want to say kudos to all those that got out there and took pictures whether they're good bad or indifferent. I saw the eclipse from Oregon and still didn't even try.
I think it had to do with all the hype in advance that was somewhat a turnoff. BUT after seeing it in real time I wished I HAD. The eclipse was magnificent!
And so now, what will you do with the images?
I plan to make a montage of the eclipse from start to end using about 13 shots (6 each side of totality and 1 in totality). I have a few decent shots during totality, didn't quite get the shooting parameters correct.
I was incredibly lucky and did not get the typical eclipse pictures that look like every other eclipse picture. My daughter and I drove down to Missouri for the experience. There were thunderstorms mostly across the state, but I took my mid level equipment anyway. I tell you what, she hit totality and a little window opened to space for two minutes! Then the next storm closed the curtain and it was done. The clouds drifting across produced some fabulous effects and colors! I'm not incredibly skilled and I don't have the best equipment, but I was gifted with some images I'd really like to share! I posted to Facebook and instagram, and here, of course...aside from those places, I am at a loss on where else to share them. I know there will be prints hanging on my wall 🤓
Great shot Peter! Love the red flames; a lot of others didn't get those due to over exposure...

ROFLMAO. Best photography post of the week, maybe of the year.
I too, thought there would be so many flooding the market afterwards. But I went anyways, with an old weld lens for a filter. And I captured this as the camera searched for focus. Rebel T5i . I am new to this site. Hope you like it. :-) d---

Hi there danersmiff, welcome to the hog. Posting to the hog has some restrictions, first is that the limit for a single post, either single or multiple files is 20MB. You just scraped in under the limit with your raw file. Secondly, UHH has no mechanism to display raw files, just JPEG files.
I have taken the liberty of downloading your image, converting it to JPEG with Canon DPP4, the first as downloaded, the second with a few minor tweaks to eliminate blown out areas and so on.
So, here is what I believe you wished to post.
Thankyou. I am sure this won't be my first error. Your helpful, and constructed answer is appreciated. Thanks!! :-)

You are welcome! It may have been your first error, but like most of us, it probably won't be your last!
Anyhow, it is an interesting and creative effect, and yes I do like it!
Had to recover in Photoshop from my own error in shooting it and reconstruct the eclipse as I saw it in my mind's eye.

Nice image, but this is a photo montage is it not? I don't see how you got moon surface detail from an actual shot of the eclipse. It works as creative art, but we're talking extensive pp with this are we not?
