iPhone users will find themselves very much at home when using the new Nikon D850 articulating screen: its is a touch screen, it can be used to navigate the menu, scroll through stored images, pinch to zoom in and out, touch to select focus areas and even touch to snap the trigger... great innovation, the iPhone!...

The D500 screen does much of the same.

I feel cheated.
Borrowed a D500 from Nikon to try out the anti-flicker feature and didn't know it had a touch screen. Awesome DX camera.

Really, I resemble one of them pathetic Nikon owners. LOL I also have a cheap Sony a6000. I like the Sony but really like my D500.

It's 2 years newer...a lot of technology has been introduced between that timespan. Better comparison would be the a6500 and d500.

What Nikons do you own and use? Your use of pathetic in describing Nikon is offensive to me. I don't slam cameras other people use because it isn't any of my business. I make a terrific living using mostly Nikon equipment and my clients are happy. I find your state of mind pathetic. If you don't like Nikon postings simply go on to something more interesting.

I held off on the D500 thinking an upgrade of the D810 just might also include many of the same features.

I love my 810 but I would like the option of smaller raw files.
I don't always need 36mp let alone 46mp.

(Got a complaint from our tech guys that we're just about out of server space.
They don't seem to grasp that images take a lot more space than text documents.)

Please reread my note above not once did I use "pathetic" to describe Nikon cameras! I've been using Nikon bodies and Nikkor lenses sense around 1970 with the F2, I personally think that all of my Nikon system gear is superb and has never failed me. What I refer to is Snapbridge, I think the designers could have done a much better job with Snapbridge. If anyone has used the previous photo transfer with the "WU-1B" found it to be trouble free.
