Posting by Apple says a number of 'Pro' apps will not work in the upcoming High Sierra OS release. Aperature is not mentioned at all (it is already a sun-setted application)_ but since the ones that are being specifically pointed out are from the same time as the last Aperature release it is likely it will not work in High Sierra. You might be able to test this by loading the High Sierra beta on a drive (not your boot drive) and test to see if Aperature works. I've already moved on so not an issue for me but...
Time will tell.. Ed
Read Aperture aka apples decent photo's program that they killed off (ended development). There are a couple of ways to go with high sierra you can install it, at some cost (depends on applications you run that are not compatible)
not run it and lose access to new and upgraded programs or
run it as an alternative. Virtual Machine 2nd Partition 2nd Hard drive.

Or you could replace your toy computer with a real one running either Linux or Windows 10.
Annoucement from Apple yesterday listed a number of pro apps which will not work with high sierra. Aperture is not listed because it is already a dead product. Very likely it will not work in High Sierra.
And go to Windows 10, laughs my ass off. Every major company I've worked for that has allowed people to use Macs rather than PC's has shown a huge reduction in replacement and maintenance. IBM and Oracle both did this and now more than 40% are using Mac and will switch when their refreshment time comes up. By the way the refreshment time for a macbook is 5 years for a pc 3..

he always says that. Has had a beef with apple for years ...
Where can Aperture be gotten. My MacBookPro is running El Capitan and I am not likely to do Sierra or any other mountain range.

Oh, please. It's not enough that have to play out the Canon vs Nikon ridicule, now we have to start on Apple vs Windows? I'll fund another post.

I also have a beef with Apple, but I try not to mention it here.
