I forgot I had these. We had traveled to Texas several times and stood in the same motel every time we went. T love this scene and never had a camera until this trip. A bit over exposed but I am still learning. Photography is harder then most people think. That is why I like UHH because most of you know what it is like to start out. I played around with the HDRish tool in picasa 3 and this is the final result.

This site is addicting!

You got that right jfant. I swore I'll never "Face up" on face book, and I'll never tweet on twitter, but look at me and the rest of us here in the "Ugly Hedge Hog". It's great stuff. Just wish they would put in a rule that if you're going to make a comment you need to post a photo. I'll start it.

curious about why you would like that to be a rule - have an idea but not sure we are on the same wave length

Just think it certainly would make it more.....I take that back. Don't make it a rule. I spend way too much time here already.

End of Day 184
Here is the link to Day 185
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-49520-1.html#806472

Day 184 ran to 28 pages, still counting I guess, while you announce the end in mid page 24. Not a criticism, just an observation.

What are your thought on this?

BTW I noticed in one of your posts, that Tucson has an REI store. Checking the locations directory on REI I found that Arizona has Three! Florida has none, but I am told there is one in the planning stages. I guess Arizona has more backpackers - although REI caters to more than just backpacking enthusiasts - while Florida has more sailors. No mountains in Florida either, sob.

Hey IHammer,
It's located on the Merced River . It's just south of the George J. Hatfield State Rec Area(On Kelly Rd.)Outside and south of Turlock Ca. I use a site, WWW.vpike.com, to help locate things. If you use the site, enter Turlock California. Go out W.Main to Crows Landing Rd. Go left and follow to River Road. Go left to the bridge. It shows up very well with the satellite map.

Hello everyone! Hope your 2nd day of July has treated all of you well??.....
I am so far enjoying this constituted method sharing my photos with all of you, most of my pics are viewed with a biased eye so, having my view of things welcomed by other photog junkies is such a pleasure!

Those are wonderful Olives .. what post processing program do you use hun ? We love black and white photos in here ... I only ask because if you upped the saturation of the colors before you turn it black and white it will add a bit more contrast to it ... really make your subject stand out .. well done on these :) ... pg 17

Thank you! Those pics were taken as b&w with my camera, mom does a lot of PPing (snicker here) I do sometimes but mostly I prefer the raw/original view of the picture. I like to see my photo the way I see it with mine own eye.....

Welcome to Day 184 :) Today it's all about Rust and Corrosion. It shouldn't be too tough to find this stuff all over the place. Here are a few examples to get us started.
I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

The picture with the blue truck looks like it should be a postcard great picture! Where was that one taken?

Wow, GRRRREAT selection ! The dashboard alien is outstanding !! Here's a plea from the management of Cheetal motel, Delhi-Dehra Dun road.

Oh my gosh Subroto - that is too funny.... My folks used to tell us the story about how they furnished the flatware for their first apartment during WWII.. they would take one piece at a time when they went out to eat.!!! Good thing there was just the two of them...

Hahahaha, that just cracked me up, Teri ! Ok, back to brass tacks...here's my favourite rusty (TRUSTY ?!) photo :-)
