2017 Solar Eclipse 100% totality, Gladstone MO - Nikon D810, Sigma Sport with 1.4 tele

Not all that shabby for my first attempt. I got extremely lucky considering the weather conditions. It was cloudy prior to and then began to get VERY cloudy and started to rain immediately following totality. I was only able to capture a sliver coming out of totality. You can see when the filter was removed. #7 was shot at ISO 12,800

Note the sun spots and solar flares. The crickets were chirping.

I hope to have more favorable conditions in 2024 when we'll have another over Southeast Kansas, if I'm alive and opt to take the drive.

Congrats Ponz. Maybe it was cloudy/rainy but it was clear you were prepared - ready for anything and producing some great shots. I wish my first "anything" was as successful.

I enjoyed viewing it with a dark reflecting surface. Fine images Ponz.
