James, this is the best eclipse photo I have seen. You did good! I love the sun flames on the right side too! What was your set up?
Check the end of this thread Brent (page 3), I posted the EXIF and explained a little more. Yes, I did capture a huge flair and I am thankful.

WOW !!! Excellent. what did you use for gear and what were your shooting settings ??
My cousins live in Fairfield Glade, very near Crossville. Not sure if they were in the 100% total zone. ~FiddleMaker

Yes, I've been to Fairfield Glade (a huge retirement area), and they were in the path of totality. See the end of the thread page 3 for more shooting details.

James, That's one of the best eclipse photos that I have seen. Love the solar flares visible on the right. I just purchased the RX10III and am still trying to get pictures as good as yours.

It's a great camera, just takes time to learn and steady hands to use. Keep after it.

A lot of clouds stop me from watching the eclipse (watching from Barranquilla, Colombia), but a hole in the clouds let me see it for a few minutes and I could capture this shot. Nothing amazing but still a little of the eclipse.

Hi Folks, I just got home from a day long adventure with the Nashville Photography Club. I photographed everything from frogs, flower and turtles to flowers and food. Oh, and I did get a few eclipse shots. Here's my first processed photo taken at totality. That was amazing, the light went from like a heavy overcast day to night in just seconds and we lost 6 degrees of temperature.

wow! that's an amazing shot of the eclipse james...you did good!

Good shot. That's the one I was hoping for but had clouds in Anderson, SC.
