You'll meet again and the love will be stronger. Sam will wait for you with a wagging tail.

This is Sam hours before he died.
My heart bleeds for you. I know the feeling since I've lost two a month apart about two years ago and to this day I'm still missing them. To lose a pet is like loosing a child they become such a part of your family. He is so pretty....Rich
Sorry for your loss, sad.
Beautiful, and sorry for your loss. I've been there too many times as a dog lover.
q, no reuse credit needed. It was not original with me. There are quite a number of puppy-mill rescue groups and they all hear variations on stories from the Rainbow Bridge. So use it at your will.

That is beautiful, John. Reading it with tears coursing down my cheeks. May I use this? I'll give you credit, of course.

So sorry my friend I know the feeling
Sam looks tired, like he was probably ready to leave his old body behind. I'm glad you took this photo to remind you that the time was right. How is Casey taking it?
I'm soooo sorry for your loss, NMGal! He looks tired, like he's ready to cross the rainbow bridge!
NM Gal my heart breaks for you. I look over at the little white ball of fur sleeping in her crate and I can not imagine her not being here. My wife wanted a puppy and I did not because I wanted to be free to go anytime without having something on our place that I had to feed. Fast forward three years and I didn't know how much I could love a little critter and I had forgotten the feeling of a dog's unconditional love.
John F, I had to wait a while to type this because of my blurry eyes after reading your post.
I am sorry for the loss of your dear friend.
