Anyone ever order from JetCameras.com?

I'm in the market for a Nikon D750. I noticed a website that I hadn't seen before with a great price, but I'm suspicious that it might be a scam. Has anyone ordered from JetCameras.com? Appreciate your response. Reg

Stick with ABC for new or refurb or for used, KEH. They are honest, solid companies that back up what they sell. Of course, if there is a good photo shop near you, then by all means see them first. The major manufacturers all require that the price for new is fixed, but you can see what kind of package they can do.
There is always the refurb route, but again highly recommend you stick with the same list of stores.

Good luck!

I've never heard of them.
Have you done an internet search on them for information or comments?

Thanks. I haven't used ABC or KEH. Sorry for ignorance here. Are those the initials for a company name, or are those the actual names of the companies?

Yes. Mixed bag, but mostly positive. They are fairly new.

A is Adorama
B is B&H Photo
C is Cametta Camera
KEH is a company name

I've been using B&H for over 25 years, I've never had a problem.

If you see new cameras, regardless of brand, advertised for less, beware.

Places like 42nd St, Abe of Maine, etc. state they have a US warranty, but this is NOT a manufacturer warranty and most likely a low price means gray market so official US importers will not cover the camera. It is their own and the repair shop could be anyone. If you decide you want refurb, Cameta extends the 90-day manufacturer warranty to 1 yr and they use Mack Camera to do the work (excellent repair facility for all brands).
A lot of folks do buy gray market but you are taking a chance. Also a lot of these low cost resellers try to sell you accessories at an inflated price (batteries, filters) that you can often get as part of a bundle from Adorama, B&H and Cameta.
Final thought- before you buy online, call the store and see what kind of bundle the store can offer. As I said, if you buy new, then the store cannot play with the MSRP, but they can build a bundle (i.e. extra battery, filter, etc.) that can make a very attractive offer. Ex: Peter at Cameta has been very "flexible" in helping me to put together packages when I bought my Nikon cameras.

I see no reason to. Authorized dealers sell at the same price. With the others, you take a chance. Look for refurbished or used to save money.

This would get more attention in the Main section - with the same type of responses.

Buyer beware. If it sounds to good to be true . It often is. It might be a few pennies more. But you know its an ok deal.

I saw a lens on KEH that was what I was looking for. When I told him the camera. He said it would not auto focus on it. Then he told me what to look for in the ads . I see the ads for lower price photography items. Keep in mind they can be gray market. Good luck.
