My wife was sweet enough to trap this guy, but then wanted nothing to do with it. It expired shortly after capture, but provided some nice macro shots before disposal.

I think it is (in polite company) a Dor Beetle - in common parlance a Dung Beetle. My wife spotted it, clamped a margarine container over it, and told me to go deal with it. Incidentally, I used stacking (30 layers) to achieve that level of depth of field. Thanks for the compliment.
Interesting subject; excellent use of photo-stacking. This image looks life-size, so normal DoF in every photo is miniscule.
