You've got to be kidding!
There is so much incorrect information in your statement that I don't even know where to begin.
Your "let them go back to Africa" says it all.
The key word is "Let" I did not say to force them. It would do good for all
Americans to experience some other form of government but not here. So what I said is there were two opposing sides and that I did not side with either one. That is wrong but in some of your opinions the only way that I would be right is if I completely agreed with the media side which is wrong. They have an agenda and it is to overthrow our government. Read up and listen and learn and do not be manipulated by the press.

The U.S. Department of Labor has announced that the giant NYC-based photography retailer B&H has agreed to pay $3.22 million to resolve a lawsuit filed by the agency back in February 2016. B&H had faced allegations of discrimination, bias, and harassment.
The settlement, first reported by The Phoblographer, is a “consent decree” between the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs and B&H Foto & Electronics Corp. that resolves the allegations.
“The decree settles allegations that B&H Foto discriminated against female as well as black and Asian job seekers by hiring only Hispanic men for entry-level positions,” the Labor Department writes. “In addition, there were allegations that Hispanic shipping workers were paid significantly less than comparable workers and denied promotion to higher level positions.
“There were also allegations that Hispanic workers were routinely subjected to harassing conduct and had unequal access to restroom facilities, and the company failed to take corrective action when confronted with employee complaints.”
B&H serves as a federal contractor and the U.S. Government responded to allegations to ensure that taxpayer money is going to a business that treats its employees fairly.
In addition to paying $3,220,000 in back wages and monetary relief to over 1,300 workers involved in the settlement, B&H will also be hiring a workplace consultant to correct employment practices at its current Brooklyn warehouse and future New Jersey warehouse. Managers will also be receiving annual training on harassment prevention and equal opportunity principles.

This was why after years of being a B&H customer, I suspended purchasing from them for the last two years. There are plenty of good camera stores from which to choose. It takes a pretty egregious behavior to trigger this kind of action. B&H makes a great deal of doing business with basic Jewish ethics: Tzedakah, Hesed, Tikkum, etc. Those Jewish ethics are violated with the actions in which they engaged. It is not enough to stop taking orders on shabbos and Rosh Hashanah.
With this resolution, I can now again put this company on my list of suppliers.

BLM happened because people were being killed. Are you a racists because you stand up for yourself? My Father fought in WWII against hate. This is not 1950 anymore. All people should be equal. There is only one race and that is the Human race!
I agree with what you say but also I might add that people should be hired, admitted to colleges, etc. on merit not to fill some quota. BLM was, but what has it become? That is the real question. And the next question are they being used as pawns to be able to achieve what the one that want to over throw our government want. Oh it sounds so good. Did you know that the rainbow that God created had 7 colors in it but the Rainbow flag manufactured by the gays has only six colors. And the flag that Obama displayed on the white house had only six colors. That should tell you something.

Rpavich - you are not Hispanic, so I doubt you would understand.
There are no words to describe how stupid that comment actually is.
It would not surprise me at all if big unions are behind all that is driving this, it stinks to high haven! The unions tired this crap with the company I work for years ago but refused to cave into them.

As a customer of B&H I find this to be very disturbing. They are closed on Saturday in concert with their religious views which I have no problem with. Then they crap on their workers which I have a major problem with. This is not a good way, especially in these times, to retain customers. (And before you ask I'm a white male.)
This is certainly a blow to B&H. They will or have corrected the problem. I am not sure it is going affect their sales. I would still buy from there as they are paying from their mistakes.

I wouldn't say "for no reason". I would not knowingly patronize an establishment that discriminates against certain classes of workers. I do hope, though, that they can stay profitable and stay in business. I don't want to end up ordering gear from China...
Whoa Doc, there are other alternatives; Cameta, Adorama, a local camera store,,,,etc, etc, etc.

Oh boy, this thread is headed for the 'Attic'!

I disagree. If B&H wants to continue to be a lucrative government contractor then they have to play by the same rules as everyone else. The odds of B&H increasing their prices to compensate for compliance and the cost of back wages is little to none. Prices are market driven and were B&H to raise their prices to the rank and file consumers, they would lose business to all the other reputable dealers
B&H is a governemmt contractor?

This thread should have been in the attic a long time ago.
In its letter to their customers, B&H admitted they could do better. You can probably use the "could do better" tag for every large and small business in this country. It is the fact this is the second time in 10 years that is disappointing.
I look for B&H to do the right thing to prevent the loss of $46M a year in government contracts. Between the company, government, unions, and employees, it has a way of getting so tangled the company may have found it less expensive to enter into an agreement. Even by winning, they could have faced the potential loss of government contracts. I am a bit surprised they choose to remain in NYC. Guessing it cost the government more than the fine they levied to work out the agreement.
Let me ask this: How many of us go to the sites that provide customer complaints/lawsuits/and other information for physicians or attorneys (who provide services far more important than the purchase of cameras and ancillary photographic gear) or your securities broker to see what it was doing wrong (according to the client-and I phrase it this way because I was in the brokerage business for over 50 years and an arbitrator for customer complaints) before or even during us doing business with them? Just asking.
