I've rented from LensRentals.con numerous times. They're very good.

Ditto. Recommended. Plus, if you like the lens well enough, they will credit the rental amount paid against the purchase price and sell you the rented lens. For some, you may even get the option of requesting the lens condition in case you are considering rent to buy.

I was very pleased with a camera and lens I rented, very pleased with their prompt delivery, also very pleased with their customer service orientation. I recommend them highly.

Would be nice to know who you are recommending so highly.

Anybody have any recommendations of a vendor for lens rental. Havent done that before.

I'm close enough to two different camera shops that do rentals. I'll drive 40-50 miles. Also, if rented on a Thursday for three days and with a Monday holiday, I can actually get the rental for 5 days since they are closed Sunday and holidays. Then return it on Tuesday morning.

The threads that you refer to were not posted when I asked my question. It became clear that Lensrentals was the topic of discussion at a later point in time. The order of the threads would seem to indicate otherwise but I would hope that you accept that what I'm saying is the was it was.

RC - The title of this topic is "Lens Rental" (more correctly spelled "Lensrentals" according to their website). Lensrentals is the "them" referred to in my post. Sorry if I did not make that clear, but if you read the brief thread in its entirety, it would not have been terribly hard to figure it out. /Ralph

No need to apologize. rjaywallace was incorrect in interpreting the topic was about the company Lensrentals when in fact the OP asked "Anybody have any recommendations of a vendor for lens rental. Havent done that before." The topic was originally "a vendor for lens rental". You were correct with your question and did not deserve the snarky response.
