This is the effect I am trying to accomplish. The is a professional shot but the stones are brilliant and the ring is standing up on its own. It hasn't been as easy as it seems once the print comes out. I appreciate all you guy's help. dave

a 'touch' of hot glue will do the trick!
I have not tried hot glue yet. Good idea. Well after two days of trying to get a good solitaire diamond shot, here it is. It looks a little dark in the picture here and the background highlights don't show but the print is perfect. Thanks again for all your help. dave

I think a starlight filter might make that stone sparkle. Figure out a way to make that ring "stand Up". Check out one of thye shopping channels, and see how they display jewelery. They are all vertical and the all sparkle. The starlight filter effect can also be done in photoshop
I tried to make the ring stand up using all kinds of things. I don't know how to use photoshop but I do know there is a starlight filter in there. I can make the ring stand up with the use of dental was but the wax shows and LR doesn't remove things to well. So again I have to learn PS. Thanks for your comments. I think I will try some photoshop adjustments this afternoon.

Google vertical ring stand. There are all kinds of things to show a ring in a vertical position
