I spent 5 days in Durango two weeks ago and rode the Durango & Silverton Train, what a great day !
Here are a few photos taken with a Nikon D700 and a 80-200 2.8D. The photos
were from an open car that was rocking and rolling and no VR. Time to pick up a new 80-200 2.8
with VR.

Nice shots, hard to get a bad one in that area. we lived in Durango for 15 years before returning to Texas for health reasons. That was shot on what some called the "High Line"?????

How did you get back to that area ? I'll love to go back this fall and get there and photograph all 3 trains going and coming.

Great shots! Doesn't seem that the lack of VR had any effect on the photos you posted, well done. Does your UH moniker mean you're the owner of a '63 Coupe?

Yes, I've owned it since Feb 14, 1964. Traded in my 1955 Ford Crown Vic for it. It's red on red, 327, 340 HP, 4 Speed close ratio Muncie Trans, 4:11 positraction rear end, and the stiffest suspension offered in 63. I put a 66 suspension under it a few years ago and I was tired of the drum brakes. I still have all the parts to restore it back to original. Sure wish I still had the 55 Ford Crown Vic also.
