Printing images using Epson SureColor P 600

My Epson R 2000 failed and I just purchased the "replacement" printer, the Epson Sure Color P 600. I am having difficulty getting prints of equal quality. I have tried all combinations in the Color Management options and am not satisfied. Anyone with experience here? I use a Mac Pro desktop computer, I print from either Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as the application. I have tried "Printer Manages Color" and ""Application manages color". I get prints too dark without full tonal range.

I don't have the P600 but an R3000. I'm sure that there is a lot of similarity so, when using PS to control the process; print settings/properties/mode. make sure here that color adjustment is OFF

Summitridge - Welcome to UHH! As a relative newcomer, you may not be aware that UHH has a special forum section devoted to "Printers and Color Printing". You can access that section by clicking the "All Sections" link at the bottom of this page. Knowledgeable folks there can very likely help sort out this and other printer issues. Have a photogenic day!

What does the nozzle check look like? If it's good then download calibrated test image from the link below. Make no adjustments. You can let Photoshop or the printer control the colors. Make sure you tell the printer what paper you plan to use. You can adjust the print size. The print should look very similar to what you see on a "calibrated" monitor.

This is the image I use on all of my printers.

Make sure that if you let Photoshop manage colors, that you switch Color Management to >OFF<!

Is your monitor calibrated. I use an r3000 and set the luminense to 65. Gives me perfect results.

Thanks. Is this a Mac? I amusing a27 inches Mac Pro Desktop and the Spyder 5. Should that do it for calibration?
