I am still kind of new here and so far I have not seen anybody to include with their photos a short story related to the subject. Some of my photos originated under interesting conditions, anybody cares to read the stories? I am talking about Alaska, bears, whales, ghost town, etc.

yes please do. I enjoy well crafted words and interesting stories that give the background of thhe photos . The hog's undisputed heavyweight wordsmith of the world is guessman, who even looks like hemingway but writes like will rodgers.

Count us in...we'll light the fire and simmer some spicy mulled wine and hot toddies !!
I say on with the show, half the fun are the pics the other half is what people have to say, I read everyones comments, and stories.
Really think that's a good idea.
Definitely!
I am a reader-- I did put the sad tale behind an old time photo I posted.. not sure anyone rad the story behind how it happened. you can find it
here
Count me in Alaskan! And may the 'god of good grammar' enlighten all those who never truly graduated 3rd grade and know not when to correctly use "their, there and they're; it and it's; to and too; your and you're; compliment and complement; effect and affect; and so many more. Am I tending towards the somewhat anal? Sure, but it's my one defense against the pixel-pushers who criticise one tiny spot on my images that they perceive as blown out or my ocean horizon is one degree out of horizontal.
Hmmmm, interesting thread, but is this about photography, or grammar? I agree that good, or rather, correct grammar is important, but not imperative here. I tend to make grammatical errors but I have spell-check that helps overcome most of my grammar deficiencies. Welcome anyway:)
Hey "Alaskan" I'm Alaskanfrog. Where are you and where are you from? (duel question, might not be grammatically correct...:) )

I'd love to read the related story. That makes the photos even more interesting when you know more about it. I checked out your gallery and must admit it is very impressive.
