After 2 days of trying, I finally get pics as the light is going.
Kind of grainy and blurry, but it's a start.
The light was too far gone to get a pic of the one with the red around his neck.
Hand held was way too blurry.
I'll try again tomorrow because he's really pretty.
They really like whatever tree/bush this is, I see them there lots.
Thank you everyone! And got 1 pic of the male with the red throat...but it was so dark it blurred. Need to do more when the sun comes back up. The male seems more camera shy. I'm hoping after a few days of me being there, they won't be so skittish.
I think they spend more time defending their feeder against others than they do actually feeding.
There were at least 7 of them this morning and I watched them for over an hour.
The shrub is The Rose of Sharon.
Ahhh thank you sawdust! I didn't know what it was, but the hummers and bees sure like it.
Got a few more pics yesterday morning before I ran my errands.
Now to figure out how to attach them.
