Shot this on Cedar Canyon Rd. in CA. near Kelso. Used my 6D with a 14 mm f2.8 Rokinon lens. ISO was 5000 and the shutter was 25 seconds, I think. Well, it was fun to do this and I hope to do this again. Had a side light to illuminate the trees so that they are separated from the stars. Comments?

Looks good, have fun be safe.

Absolutely gorgeous!

One question: your focus, was it auto, manual, or prime?

That Rokinon 14 is a great lens for sky work. Well done!

That is a truly nice image. When downloaded I can really appreciate the photo so much more. The side-lighting certainly helps fill in some of the shadow detail that would have been otherwise lost.

I set the lens on manual, only reason is that it is a completely manual lens. Need to set the aperture when shooting this lens, also no autofocus. With this wide angle lens, all you have to do is get it into the ball park; use the infinity mark and back off a little, not scientific, but it works ok at that distance.
BTW, were you on the Becuna? That's a WWII boat! Balao Class fleet boat.

Great shot. I've been in the area but my photo attempts were not as good as yours even though my last name is Kelso!
