The IV menue is quite a bit different then both the III and S. When I got the IV that surprised me. The IV image quality and low light ability are better as is the focus.

Thank you, I am sure I will get used 2 it as I will appreciate the better IQ and focusing....especially the focusing underwater!

I think one of the big advantages of the 4 is the live screen touch system. I don't know, but i don't think this would apply underwater.

Actually I never tried, but I have read that even the LCD screen is improved.

Hi Jeep Daddy,

Also in OC, south in Laguna Niguel. Did you upgrade recently? Sell your 3? If so, what did you sell it for. I use mine with emphasis underwater, and while the touch screen won't work for me in a housing, I am increasingly doing more land. The only reason I have held off is that my 3 has been a rewarding experience and the mega pix are close...actually has limited some of my time with the sr that truly has amazing resolution!

I sold my Mark III about 2 weeks before I bought the Mark IV. I had ordered the Mark IV before they were released from B&H and I was one of the first to get one. I got $1500 for my Mark III but now that the Mark IV is out, they are selling for less than that. That's why I sold it prior to the IV's release.

I live in North OC near Disneyland. I belong to an off road club in San Clemente so I go down there quite often.

The one major issue that I have with my 3 is exposure Comp. There is no quick and easy way to use EC. I don't know if the 4 has corrected this problem.

Sorry there is no wheel to turn. the only way to get into ec is to go to the menu every time. You can not assign a wheel, button or anything else to EC.

Isn't there a "Q" button to quickly get into and change things like that?

The wheel on the back of the camera. I use it all the time. It's my normal workflow if I'm not in full manual.

How much MP is enough for the type of shooting you are doing?

I would love to know your setup. I talked to Canon tec people and they said not on the 5d 3. I can change my iso with a wheel etc.
I always shoot in A mode.
