Been reading posts, glad to see at least one Olympus shooter here. Interesting group of folks. First camera at 12 - fell in love. Fooled around with photography while life played out and got serious at 58 when I had time for me. Bought a Minolta and graduated from the New York Institute of Photography course in 2001. Never too old to learn! They gave me assignments and critiqued my work. Great course. Still refer to the books once in a while. A couple of years later digital came along, the Minolta retired, and after much deliberation I chose an Olympus Evolt 300 after the price went down a couple of hundred. Lenses were affordable, too. Loved the fact that the lens numbers doubled (film vs digital). I could never have afforded to do with film what I have with digital. Ended up in a gallery and learned to do my own printing, matting, and framing. Gave that up when the "big boys" went to canvas and metal. Didn't want to do prep work on canvas. Also shot pictures for a friends crocheting book, "Crochet 101". I enjoy volunteering my services now. Did photography for Free Reign last year - horses helping people heal. Did 5x7 portraits of the kids on the horses and they loved them. Happy work!

Welcome. I too love the frog picture.
Thank you. That little guy sat there staring at me while I set up a tripod. Love the animals.
