I looked for the proper name for this guy and all I found was a site from the U.K. and it was identified as a Southern Hawk. Thanks for the I.D., Dixiegirl (AGAIN).
You're most welcome, Ron. It's a female Pondhawk. The male is a dark blue with a bright green face. The best book I have for identification is one recommended by Doc, Dragonflies and Damselflies of Georgia and the Southeast, but I've noticed that all of us from TX to FL and beyond have many of the same dragonflies.
