That's not a discount code. That's an expensive code. :-)
Yes, the first 3 replies were kind of cranky weren't they. I have not seen any coupon codes for software lately but when a new version of PSE (Photoshop Elements) comes out, they usually have a good deal on it at Costco or Sams Club. Usually $50 verses $79 after it goes up.

Wow -- some seriously cranky people on here. cphoto15 asked if anyone had any coupon codes. If you don't have any, don't reply, or reply "I don't have any." But I didn't see a request for a pretentiously dumb lecture on the value of the monthly fee version of Adobe products. YOU may find the fee worth paying. Others don't. Neither is "right." If a user barely scratches the surface of the functions of an Adobe product -- which comprises a large number of us, especially people learning the software -- the monthly fee version could easily be a waste of money. I personally have LR4 and still haven't learned all that that old version can do. I paid for it once and am not wasting money on monthly updates that I'm not ready for. I'd rather master what I already have, rather than buying a bunch of stuff I talk about in forums but never actually use. Furthermore, there are occasionally valid discount codes for buying the non-monthly version of these software packages and, given that it makes sense for many people to NOT buy the monthly version, asking if anyone has any discount codes is a pretty damn harmless request. The world is a nasty enough place -- if all you have to offer is a lecture that does nothing but display your self-centered inattention to the real point of a person's inquiry, do us all a favor and just don't comment.

It's called "rationalization". They are trying to "rationalize" their purchase decision. I always love the "it's just a six-pack of craft beer a month" rationalization.
To be fair we ALL try to rationalize our purchase decisions. That's why it's always such a lively discussion.
Lots of people at UHH using the subscription, but over the past year it does seem that Serif Affinity has been gaining some serious traction.
Personally -- we all benefit from competition. Believe me if Adobe was the only game in town that $10 a month subscription would be more than $10 a month.
This may be a slightly interesting concept, but those of us that use competitive software are actually helping those that are on the Adobe subscription. Competition is a good thing.
Trying to helpful as well. Corel currently has a limited promotion for PaintShop Pro X9 for $47.99. That's a good price, as normally it is around $60.
Sign up on Corel's mailing list and you'll get deals like this sent to you all the time.
If you can't find it and are interested send me a private message and I'll send you the URL for this promotion. It's not a discount code, it's a limited time promotional offer.

Yes, if you look around Photoshop Elements can be found for $50-$60 dollars. No need to pay the $79 if you look around a bit.
Current Amazon price is $69, but you can easily do better if you look around.

I bought On1 awhile back. I don't think it was too expensive. Might want to check it out.

Hi was wondering if anyone has some discount codes that they wanted to share?
Go to Affinity Photo. They just released their Beta version for Windows and it is free to download. When the full program comes out, you will probably get a discounted price to purchase it. Other than that, look and wait for someone to have a sale on PP software. I don't know of any codes for discounts.

I wasn't lecturing, I was merely stating how I do it. I was only offering a bit of free advice. And advice is like a collect phone call, it only affects you if you accept it.

Just like the "I get it right in the camera so I don't need post processing" or "You must shoot only manual or you can't be a good photographer" crowd.
There was a link that I ran into inside the adobe website that allowed legal download of older Photoshop programs. I will have to dig that up.
I saw a copy of PS6 at a local Staples for about $70 if my memory serves well.

Affinity Photo for Windows isn't in Beta any longer. I bought it back in January of this year when they offered it for a special of $39.99 (a savings of $10.00 off the regular price). They are currently on version 1.5.2.

Ha? Affinity Photo for Windows has been out with the full non beta version for quite a few months now, it's $49.99 now.
