A few weeks ago I went camping with my wife and friends (Joe and Monica Pluto), to Gerle Lake. When I went to pay the camping fees(which were 25 dollars a night), I found out that if I had purchased the national senior pass it would have only cost me 12.50/night.
I explained to the camp host and her husband that I turned 62 a few weeks ago and was going to get the pass, but hadn't gotten it because I didn't know it also applied to some of the US Forest Service facilities for camping, and not just the National Parks (which I already had an annual pass for that was good until Sept.
She said that she would use her senior ID number and apply the the discount for me, but that I would have to be sure and get the pass as soon as possible.
Well, good to my word, I in fact have the senior pass, and I am going to have this print below made for her as a thank you. It will be a 20x30 enlargement. It was taken just after sunset at Gerle Lake on that trip. If you should ever find people going out of their way to do good things for you, be sure they know you appreciate it. This is not the first time I have made prints for people who have let me shoot on their property, or photograph plants and animal on land that they own.
Just thought i would mention it, as it will open many doors for you in the future as well. And even if it doesn't, you will feel good anyway...which is worth it.
Good to know there are still nice people in the world. She was very nice to use her ID to save you some money and you are so nice to return the favor with this beautiful print, keep up the good deeds.
That's a very nice thing to do!

Thanks. I think it was also the right thing to do.
It was very kind of the camp host to aide you in receiving your discount. And even better that you have gone out of your way in expressing your gratitude in such a thoughtful way.
The photo is very good and I'm sure they will appreciate what you've done. I know there are still many good people in this world and you definitely are in that group.

Thanks for the kind words.
A spectacular shot to be sure David. I hope everyone downloads it. A fine gesture too.
