Does anybody know how to block junk mail on a Mac? Are there accepted programs for a Mac - can you do it on the original set up on a Mac? It never stops regardless of what I try. I have blocked it at my mail source, Spectrum - I have followed directions from a call I made to Mac support ( I'm not sure that tech knew what he was doing). I have quit going to any sites due to this plus emptying my history daily. Most of the sites I visited previously were sites that were on UGGH. I have quit that. A lot of the url's end in "nl". I have so many with each e-mail that I have to go empty my blocked e-mails because it is full. Sometimes there are 4 or 5 e-mail addresses with each e-mail. Help!
I use Yahoo mail. Anything I mark as spam automatically goes into a spam folder from that point on. I dump it once a week without looking at it. Problem solved.
The Mail program on your Mac has an option to send the email to the junk folder. Then learns in the future to send it there automatically. Right click on the eMail and pick move to junk.

I did that and it was partially successful but I want it to delete it period if mark it as junk and not fill up my mail box. I get approximately 10 or 12 a day.
That is what the Mac Tech suggested but it still does not do what I want. Am I stuck with not being able to block it period and prevent it from entering my mailbox at all? That is what I want to do.

Yahoo is one of the biggest offenders I have. In the middle of all the e-mails ending in "nl" there will be yahoo.com.
