Well, the Q-10 has a sensor less than 1/3 the size of K-70 sensor in each dimension; I have a Q-7, with a slightly larger sensor, but I use it only when smaller sensor, smaller body, or whisper-quiet shutter is called for. Pentax also hobbled "Q" family by refusing to use EVF.
Agreed. It desparately needs an EVF. I have an original Q that gets rarely used, primarily due to the fact I hate composing via LCD. It just doesn't feel right and for me just harder to stabilize the shot. It is a nice and compact option when I just don't want to lug a big DSLR around, but my Sony a6000 is seeing a lot more action over the Q at this point. Not as small and light as the Q, but a nice break from hauling the K3 every now and then.

Hi
I just found a couple of interesting options for manual lenses on Pentax if you have the raw/fx button you can use it for digital preview but more interesting is the optical preview around the shutter button hold it off to the right and use the front wheel to adjust your shutter speed in the lens it will be telling you how many stops you are off or if you have a prefered shutter speed you can adjust the aperture ring stopped down. I usually find the green button a little awkward as it's hard to find by feel.

Nice tip. I was not aware. Stop-down metering via green button is a rather unnatural/awkward process for me and has been stated by many to yield rather inconsistent results, as well -- varying from lens to lens and even between shots with the same lens. This tip may do the trick for me!!
