I just think about the stories they could tell if walls could talk. How many families lived there and what happened to them. It is a beautifully designed old house. Very appealing lines and of course you did it justice.

That old house is in a very pretty setting. Back in the day, I'll bet it was a real beauty. Great photo, James.

Hi Folks, I ran across this old house while on some backroads in central Kentucky. It was so interesting, I had to stop and take this photo. Looks like her days are coming to and end as someone appears to be dismantling her. I see the front porch has already been removed. I know nothing about his place, but old places like this, always catch my attention. I hope you enjoy her too...

A beauty even in her last days. Glad you stopped to capture this old house, James. 🏠

Don't give up on it. Maybe taking the porch down is the first step in restoration. "This Old House" often starts with demolition.

Great opportunity shot. I would have taken 50 photos just to make the one I wanted. Thanks for posting.

Did you get a chance to get inside? The structures of these old buildings are amazing

Great shot.... Must be a lot of great memories their.

James, I love this kind of stuff. that's why my wife always has a book with her.. can you imagine the stories that old house could tell?
sometimes if I find something like that house, I'll get out a folding chair and sit by it and maybe read for a while. just soaking up the feeling of being there. ( o.k., so I may be more than just a little weird)

No Roadrunner, I shot this from the road as was with my family in our RV. I was parked in the middle of the road. I got out to take this shot, jumped back in and took off as I was parked and blocking the road. I wish I could have peeked inside.

Hi Bruce, 2350 Beechland Road, Springfield KY (37.765859 N, 85.182773 W). Hope that helps, maybe you can stop by and see whats up and perhaps find some history. There is a new brickhouse nearby that looked occupied. Thanks for your interest.

Crazy!! I grew up in Springfield and am familiar with the area of the home in the photo. I'll have to map it. Thank you!!

Very intriguing character portrayal that seems to suggest a transitional quandary caught between forbearance and permission. Judging by the size of the rear building I bet this was a productive place. Great capture.
