I just think about the stories they could tell if walls could talk. How many families lived there and what happened to them. It is a beautifully designed old house. Very appealing lines and of course you did it justice.

Don't give up on it. Maybe taking the porch down is the first step in restoration. "This Old House" often starts with demolition.

James, I love this kind of stuff. that's why my wife always has a book with her.. can you imagine the stories that old house could tell?
sometimes if I find something like that house, I'll get out a folding chair and sit by it and maybe read for a while. just soaking up the feeling of being there. ( o.k., so I may be more than just a little weird)

No Roadrunner, I shot this from the road as was with my family in our RV. I was parked in the middle of the road. I got out to take this shot, jumped back in and took off as I was parked and blocking the road. I wish I could have peeked inside.

Very intriguing character portrayal that seems to suggest a transitional quandary caught between forbearance and permission. Judging by the size of the rear building I bet this was a productive place. Great capture.
