This an an Ospey, shot from our living room window with a Nikon D750 and a 300mm Nikor with a 1.4x tele extender. The con trail and moon, also shot from our livingroom; moon with same camera and lens; the con trail with a D7100/18-300 Nikor zoom.

Not a perfect rule of thirds but close enough to be very pleasing to my notion and I suppose the branch could be a leading line. The background works perfectly and does not distract from the subject. It gives the whole shot a little more depth since there is no foreground to speak of. And that tiny eye!
