Ordering from B&H

As mentioned already, sometimes an item is on back order or may come from a different warehouse. I have received partial orders from them, and it has been indicated on the invoice as a backorder. I usually have a little patience, and wait a few days before calling B&H. A week later, the remaining back order Item was delivered. As expected.

I, like many others here, have been ordering from B&H for many years, over 25, and have never had a problem. I'm sure they will fall over backward to correct the problem.

LouV...B&H are a very reputable company one in which I would never hesitate to purchase from online, especially in today's scary world of the unknown when online shopping. When you do get in touch with them on Monday and explain your situation I'm positive they will be able to determine what happened to the remainder of your order. As others have stated, the objects you ordered may have come from different warehouses or it could be something as simple as human error, which we are all guilty of at one time or another. Also, during your conversation you might want to state you were anticipating your shipment to arrive on time due to using it on an upcoming vacation. B&H, with their responsible and thrive to insure the utmost satisfaction of their customers, will probably have you shipment arrive prior to your departure.

BH has. has good customer support. They will respond to his email inquiry When it comes to returns you have to pay shipping. With Amazon they pay the shipping for a returns.

As other members have mentioned there could be several reasons for this happening in addition to this being an oversight. Our Customer Service Dept. will reopen in an hour or two and I suggest calling them immediately and have your Order Number at hand. If all else fails, please send your issue with order number to henryp@bhphoto.com explaining your shipment problem. In any event, please keep us in the loop and let us know if i was resolved to your satisfaction. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Ah ha! That's the problem. If the items had come from different warehouses (wherever they may be) nothing would be lost. But the wherehouses are located who knows where? Where are you when you receive you wares? English homonyms are sooo very difficult. I am just having fun.

I had the same issue when I ordered my Canon 7D MKII with the kit lens and ordered a Hoya UV filter for the lens. The filter was not included in the package. I called CS and they stated it should have been shipped with the camera. I assured the representative it was not and he apologized profusely and said the filter would be shipped that day. Two days later I had filter in hand as they shipped it USPS Priority and I couldn't have been happier. Their Customer Service is most excellent and second to none. Mistakes happen, it's a fact of life, and considering the number of orders they ship daily this is bound to happen. As for Kmgw9v & DaveO, just visit the 'attic' forum and it will tell you all you need to know about those dudes!

If you are returning a camera to B&H be sure everything is PERFECT.
My return got a large % off because of a "scratched lens" I was not aware of it and only took a few photos before returning it.
Asked for photo of the lens and they did not provide it.
Happened years ago and based on all of their many satisfied customers guess they are better now.

I've had good friendly service from B&H. They are open on Sundays (check their hours). I would call customer service and ask what happened. It's much more comforting than an email response. I'm sure it will be resolved to your satisfaction.

It's very disconcerting when you don't receive what you ordered in a single shipment because it's happened to me numerous times from Amazon and some other vendors (not B&H). It gets fixed pretty quick but I do understand your concern.
