Excellent condition lens. Includes case, caps, hood, and carry strap.
Sigma updated the firmware in it last year to ensure operability with D5300 (and presumably later).
This is an FX lens and works great with DX cameras as well (making it effectively 750mm). The Optical Stabilization (OS) on this lens is excellent. I usually used it handheld at 500mm.
I had a GAS attack and thought I must need the new Nikon 200-500. I thought my wife would use this but she prefers sticking with her 18-300. So its time to free up space in the photo closet.
$395 plus $35 shipping in US.

An excellent lens...some "experts" (?) claim it's not sharp at the long end... but it works OK for me...just as sharp at full zoom as any other lens I've ever used. Both these shots @ 500mm, hand held...

Will this work with Nikon d800e, do you know?

Yes, it's a FF lens...I use mine on all three cameras, D90, D7100 & my D7200...these are crop sensor cameras as you are aware but there is no reason it won't work on a full frame camera...
The Sigma 150-500mm F5-6.3 is ultra telephoto zoom designed for Full Frame just make sure you buy the version with the Nikon mount...
Sigma's APO 150-500mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM lens is a telephoto zoom ... Designed for use on both 'full-frame' and 'APS-C' DSLR cameras, ...

There are several zoom lenses that are sharper at 500mm than that one. But not for only $430!

I bought mine new, AUD$950, my pics tell the story...most "experts" that knock it have never owned one..I won a national comp with a pic I took with mine @ 500mm and it won me a $1200 macro lens so it's well and truly paid for itself...

Thanks for posting such nice images. I was thinking of posting some but need to fire up my computer to find some. I won some blue and red ribbons at State Fair with images I took with it.
I haven't used it since I got the Nikon about a year and a half ago other than to test it after Sigma did the firmware upgrade. BTW they did the upgrade for free, including shipping it back to me, even though it was beyond the warranty. I needed the firmware update for the OS to work with my D5300. Nikon did something to screw it up on the D5300. And perhaps all later cameras. Works fine after the update.
I found a seven year Mack warranty in the box when I put the lens in. I hadn't activated it and had to do so within 30 days of purchase. Guess I overlooked it. Fortunately didn't need it.

I think I paid $800 US for it. B&H wants $599 for one they rate in less condition.

Yes, it certainly comes well presented...Unlike the last two Nikkor lenses I bought, never even had that awful soft bag that they usually come in, just a cardboard box...my Sigma 150mm Macro comes packaged the same way in that lovely case...
Looks like it is sold. I thought I could change the thread title to say that. But I can't figure out how. Sorry.
Thanks to all participants.

Between Boise and Idaho City. A few hundred miles south of there.
Would this work on a Nikon D500?
