I use Lightroom but I shoot in HDR ..three bursts,, which LR does not treat as far as I know.

Two choices:

Photomatix Pro, which is a stand alone program that works with LR or PS. Second is Lightroom CC, which has Merge to HDR function, which works quite well.

Are you looking to merely blend exposures, or are you after that HDR "look"?

LR, PS provides a simple "merge to HDR" without tonemapping (which is what gives you that "look")
PS also offers tonemapping, but I don't care for it.

LR Enfuse is a plugin that gives you a simple merge - I believe it's free, but you need LR to run it.

The grandpappy of them all is still Photomatix Pro. It gives you exposure fusion, HDR, tonemapping, movement an blur removal, etc - very good software. To my knowledge, the only applications that give you a raw file after merging are from Adobe.

Also, recommend the nik collection (HDR Efex Pro 2), it's free and installs into Lightroom and/or Photoshop.

I use photomatix, easy to use and lots of options when processing.
You can use Lightroom, Adobe just sent out an email last week explaining how to use the HDR feature. ( i didnt read it )

if you shot Canon, the DPP4 software that came with the camera has HDR in tool tab to merge your shots, with some limited editing functions.

I have been using Photomatix for several years and it does a great job with HDR.

I use Photomatix Pro and I am very satisfied with its performance. One good thing about Photomatix is that you can make your photo as wild as you want or as normal as you want.
There are several programs to edit HDR but this one is my favorite.

If you have LR, start there; it works.
