Received my new ND 3.6 (12 stop) filter in the mail today, so I'm closer to being ready for the August 21st eclipse! You can't get much plainer than a shot of the naked sun, but I feel better knowing I can now get an acceptable photo without too much rocket science...
1/8000
F/32
ISO 100
Haida ND 3.6 filter
No flash...
Nice.
Perhaps you should have used flash to fill in the bit of fade around the edge of the sun.
