Nice article... Dino's favorite color was Fly Yellow. I was lucky enough to be the custodian of a Fly Yellow, 1973 Dino GTS from 1974 - 1978. I regularly heard "real Ferraris have 12 cylinders" but I loved my Dino. By '73 the Dino found it's best body style and many of the "kinks" had been worked out of the 2006 series. The car was perfectly balanced, light and lively, and the pitch of the gearbox whine and refined sound of the engine was a symphony to my ears. The shape of the body was truly sex on wheels.

My Wife had to correct my aged and flawed memory... the GTS was a 73 not a 63 because "she knew me when I owned the Italian Banana!" Her name for the Dino not mine... what a drag it is getting old!

Thanks for posting. When I camp at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, I have four flags to fly: American, Italian, Ferrari and Mazda. At the most recent race in May, only the Ferrari flag went up.
