Nice again Jack! Is the final ones of your mink at Beaver Marsh or of something at Breaksville Station?

These are wonderful shots, Jack! In the second one, that log looks like an alligator with his mouth open and that little bird sitting on top of his upper jaw! LOL

Great images!!!!
How did you get so close to the Beaver?

Hi Frank actually I think it's a mink. I was talking to a fellow ohotographer and he said "Look there's a beaver" I turned and saw it had a fuzzy tail and realized it was a mink. He was right in the canal came up the bank and ran back and forth across the path. I wasn't quick enough to see where he would come out point focus and shoot. Glad you looked in and many thanks for your kind comments.

I am going to have to ask. What is the animal?

It's a mink part of the weasel family. He's not very big maybe a foot or a little more. Was very lucky to see this animal much less get some decent shots of him. Glad you stopped in for a look.

Hi Steve Cuyahoga Valley N.P. sure is a great place to go. Never seem to see the same thing. Been exploring Brecksville Reservation also part of the National Park. Some different things here as apposed to the beaver marsh. Glad you like the set and appreciate your stopping in.

my favorite shot of all of them is no 4...great pose and composition.
the heron and his reflection shot is cool too. the otters are cute,
and there must be something really good about that yellow flowers
that those flies love!

Hi M.T. so glad you stopped in for a look my friend. It was a good weekend to be out shooting. (Friday sucked if you saw my Almost Queen sets.) So many different animals here and the mink was a special bonus. I knew they were in the park and have only saw one once run into the thicket so this was a pleasure. So glad you like the set.

That heron shot is one of the best I've ever seen.

Hi Dennis and thank you so much for that kind compliment. They are fascinating little herons and one of my favorites to shoot. Although I'm not sure why they are called green herons they have no green. LOL

Great series Jack, love the beaver shots. I tried to get close to them in Alaska without luck.

Hi Mike and thanks for your comments that means a lot after seeing what you post. I think it's a mink because of its fuzzy tail. I thought beaver at first too then saw the tail. Was lucky to get this close and shoot this shy veracious animal.
