I was lucky enough to go to the Summit Racing Summer Nationals last week in Norwalk OH. This is a top notch 1/4 mile drag strip and spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday watching the drags. What a blast.

A jet powered truck moving at more than 200 MPH
The electronic complexities of a modern day race car
Filling it with 40 gallons of nitromethane for a 1/4 mile run Not the best of fuel economy....
