Beautiful capture of a beautiful bride.

They both are fantastic and it is obvious to me that you are a PRO! I am NOT a pro, I don't think I can even call myself an amateur. LOL
I may not know how to take shots like that, but I think I am capable to see that they are beautiful!
Did you use full flash/fill flash for image 1 on the top of her because the lower dress is half in shadow and the top of her is well lit up. I can see you had her well away from the background so not to have any shadows behind her. Did you have a diffuser on your flash and have the flash pointing up and the diffuser directing light onto her?
Both are wonderful my only suggestion on the first one would be to blur background so candlesticks are not all over the place. Other than that great shots

Good eye. The darkness/shadow you refer to is a combination of two things. A little shadowing from her bouquet (and maybe even me, as the church was very small, and my light is behind me), but mostly from the vignetting I did in PP. I may go back and back it off just a bit. In photo 2 the light drops off a bit just under her bouquet, the result of the vignette in that one also.
As for lighting these,,,I used a studio strobe bounced into an umbrella, with a diffuser panel on it. Metered with an L-358 Sekonic. I'm still a big fan of using studio strobes when I can get away with it,,,but I have seen some amazing stuff done with just speedlights. These were not.
Very Nice! Great color, clear eyes, Great job on Both.

Thank you. Blurring the background would be the only choice. A very ornate Catholic church for sure, and moving anything on or near the alter is not usually a good idea :)

Thank you. I'm always a nervous wreck doing weddings ( I'm so busy nobody ever notices), but I love doing them. Sometimes they can be such a photographic challenge,,helps keep me on my toes :D

Thank you. It doesn't hurt to have a beautiful bride for sure. More for the portfolio/website :)
on a 1 to 10, I would give it a 10. Nice portrait shots that really stand out. I have never mastered portraits.
Love them both. I would, however, be curious to see how they would look with a shallower depth of field. Great shots.

Thank you very much. I hope she likes them also :)

Thanks. I think they would probably stand out even more with a shallower DOF. I appreciate your comment.
