Hi, Frank,
Although i'm no portraitist, I'm pretty sure you hit a homer with the big portrait, but whiffed three-in-a-row with the little inset face sipping on a straw...not even a head...just a face...
To my eye it is a major distraction from a lovely, superb portrait....with perfectly captivating eyes!

I am with Dave, for some reason the smaller face seems like a doll, something about it is pushing it to the foreground, perhaps because of where you placed it, but I am not sure..

the inset makes the print
without it, not noteworthy

Frank, this is the one I'd pick. I'm in Dave's corner on this one. This one exhibits well thought out exposure and very nice composition.

In this case I am with the consensus. Wonderful portrait but the insert I find as a distraction

And with this one the memory will be yours...of her eyes and this expression ...as she grows and matures...this (and other images you have made) will still be the memories!

They are both lovely portraits. I completely understand the "distraction" of the smaller face. I think, however, that it is very nicely blended into the image. I wonder if it would be less of a distraction if the opacity of the smaller image were diminished. I think it would compete less if it were made to look ephemeral.
