Savannah GA photo ops

Savanna in it town area has free bus service Hop IN Hop Out .The bussis on continuous run every 1/2 h.
By the river on the old town are old cotton trading warehouses, today's they are stores and restaurants. The walk on the river front is on rough cobblestone street.
There as well you can take free ferry boat to the other side of the river, ones on the ferry take photos from the oldie town, this ferry boat is only for foot traffic, no cars and it run continuously all day long. There in the same spot is mooring for new paddle boat, large's on the world. This boat makes dinner and sightseeing trips several on the day and one in the evenings. As well there is statue of waiver girl, her love-one went working as a sailor and she done wave's for all the boats passing by for 40 years,however the sailor did not return and she finally found someone else.
The Forsyth Park has it famous water fountain with framed walks by large live-oaks, beautiful park.
Two block of way is St.,,,,,,catholic church, on it inside make you think you are in the Italy.
Then there is about eight miles of way "Wormsloe Plantation" it famos fotosenick front gate and mile long driveway under live-oak tree tunnel to the visitors center. Actual plantation building is gone, just it foundations exist.
Savanna is friendly for it tourist, but many it restaurants prices are hi side. I think it is good to check if your hotel has parking and breakfast included.

Savannah presents a wonderful opportunity for photography. Some four years ago I was helping my daughter drive back to Palm Springs from Connecticut; we went through Savannah, as she was checking out the Savannah College of Art and Design for the possibility of some postgraduate work (though they didn't offer what she was looking for in sufficient depth). She's now a very good professional photographer.
On the trip we each took over 2,000 pictures, just stopping wherever we saw something interesting - or sometimes not even stopping, just shooting on the move! One of our favorite spots was Savannah, and you can see the results of my photography there on my website at http://rlvphotography5331.zenfolio.com/p705207632. I think you'll like what you see, as representative of the city, bearing in mind that I'm just an amateur, and there was no post processing done to the photos. I now have a Canon 70D, but the trip pictures were taken with a Panasonic FZ18 (I think it was).
In Savannah, be sure to visit River Street (day and night), the park with the big fountain, interesting architecture down the street from the park, and Paula Deen's Restaurant is famous (though in our one eating experience there, it disappointed somewhat).

I would certainly check our Bonaventure Cemetery. There are some magnificent headstones there as well as beautiful paths with trees covered in spanish moss.

I'll let others talk about the photo ops in Savannah and there are plenty. There are many fine places to eat and the one that I recommend is The Olde Pink House in the heart of the historic district. Don't pass up this opportunity. You may have to make reservations a day or two in advance but it is worth it.

Unfortunately, the Forrest Gump bench is now in a museum and you have to pay to see it. It was in it's original place in the plaza and they were afraid someone would steal it. An argument could be made that the museum stole it. LOL.

No... not when I was there. There is a bus bench in the same "general" location but no sign or anything. The only reason we knew to look at the "museum" was that the hotel clerk told us.
