Excellent series, beautiful butterflies, compositions and colours.

I took these this morning. There were quite a few flitting between the butterfly bush, Valerian blossoms, and thistles.
Nice shots! Here in upstate NY we see fewer and fewer of these beautiful fellows.
Outstanding set, Vicki. Sharp and well composed with wonderful color.
Beautiful shots, Vicki. They are one of the prettiest butterflies and these are great shots!

Great pix! So good to see them again. I remember the vast number of butterflies when I was a kid, tiger and pipevine swallowtails, monarchs, viceroys, buckeyes, hair streaks, even the little skippers have nearly disappeared (except for the sulphur and cabbage which occur in vast numbers). Had I know how rare butterflies would become due to wide-spread use of pesticides, and overall loss of habit I, along with many of my friends, surely would not have murdered so many to add to our butterfly collections. Thanks for sharing your jewels of the skies.
Lovely in all of it's poses, vicki. And beautiful against the butterfly bush and thistle. Colors so nicely coordinated😍 ! Hope you and your family are doing well with the heat.
