I don't think he is saying "nasty B&H" at all. I think he is telling others to not ASSUME that the free stuff will be sent automatically... to make sure you read everything before you hit the checkout button... and to not make the same mistake that he did.

But he also added he would now have to go out a buy a card that was not included free because of his mistake. I advised him to call B&H and inform them of his mistake and they would make him happy.

He should call and speak with Hershel if he can Bill. Its worth a try. B&H is very helpful and accommodating, at least I have always found them to be. Again, he did say it was his mistake, not B&H's.

Good Note.

I recently purchased a Sigma 120 -300mm F2.8 lens from B&H. As I was completing my over the phone order with a sales rep I noticed a separate "special" which changed my purchase decision. The special included a filter which lists for well over $200 for about 1/2 price. Remember to check and double check your orders before completing!
I had already decided not to buy the filter but the reduced price changed my mind.

( I checked test pattern images with and without the filter and verified no visible degradation of imaging )

You got it. This was not about B&H. In my own inarticulate way I was just trying to say make sure your order is correct before hitting the order button.

Been resolved thanks to Hershel and Henry.

Vince, you should read all the replies, not just the OP. Don't you think that by page 4 there would be additional info provided?

It was the same price. Evidently the free accessory kit was an optional perk.
Yeah they do that on occasion. I'm not sure why you would - just makes mistakes like this easier.

Did you read my first reply? My reply was not a reply to the OP at all, it was to another user who obviously didn't read the OP's post and assumed he was blaming B&H with his comments. The one you commented on asking me if I read all the comments, I was replying to billnikon's reply to me.

Don't accuse me or anyone else of not reading when you obviously did the same thing.

On lots of threads here, by page 3 we come to "didn't bother to read entire thread, but ..." responses.

Totally right... I've seen 10 pages of responses and people are still commenting long after a problem has been solved. But my post was not giving him advice, it was a response to another user who obviously didn't read the OP and accused him of bad-mouthing B&H, which the OP didn't do.

I just ordered from B&H and the extras were added to my order automatically. I didn't have to click anything.

A classic example of good business...taking care of the customer. As the teenagers in the hood would say, "B&H rocks."

Actually, thirty minutes before your post, the OP reported a successful resolution of the issue

Thank you for pointing that out to me!

I had a similar situation, and they made good. It is a powerful option to be able to return something. The last time I made a mistake, they even paid the return shipping. They really are a first class retailer.
