Canon EF-S 18-55 IS.

I have been checking prices on the 18-55 lens and noticed that there are apparently two lenses being quoted. The first one, as above, and another quoted as a Canon EF-S 18-55 II IS. What is the difference, if any? Does anyone have experience with either lens, good or bad?

I have my Canon 18mm-mm IS II for sale. The only reason I'm selling it is I want to upgrade to an 18mm-135mm. There is nothing wrong with and it is only 3 months old. Let me know if you are interested.

Sounds interesting but don't know the problems of importing to Canada (duties, fees etc.).
How much are you asking?

There are no duties on cameras or lenses coming into Canada. You could get hit with the GTS/HST depending on the province you are in. Where the terror starts is if it shipped via Fedex or UPS as they will charge you a minimum $30.00 brokerage. If it shipped by US Postal Services there is a flat $5.00 brokerage . . . if they even charge you, which is rare. Generally, anything under $200.00 comes sailing right through without charges

How much are you selling it for? Shipping costs/insurance/payment method etc.?

I've used both. My old 20D came with the 18-55mm NON-IS. It is the kit lens that came with that camera. I would not recommend that one. The new one, the 18-55mm II IS is much better. I've used my buddy's and it's a decent little lens for the money. I think dpreview has a review on it, you might want to check it out. It's pretty sharp and has decent color.

Thanks for the info bud. I'm heading to Henry's on the weekend to check it out on my T3i. Maybe rent one for a day and see if it works for me.
