A month ago we visited Uluru, in the dead centre of Australia. Largest rock in the world and close to most Aussie's heart. There is a tiny village there in the middle of nowhere, and a small airport with direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, and Cairns. People from all over the world come to visit, fly in, or a long bus trip from Alice Springs. We drove, 6 weeks in our campervan, 8,000 kilometres. Exciting to see "The Rock", and the colours throughout the day from sunup to sundown blew me away.
These photos are taken from a distance away, closeups coming later.

Isn't amazing how a chunk of rock can look so beautiful? You did a good job.

Awesome series! I love the color changes. The rock appears to be sitting on a flat plain which makes it even more impressive.

Ayer's Rock must be quite a sight from a distance. I really like your set of images. Well-done.

Good work. Did a similar series when we were there to see the colors change with the light. Well done.

Is that the moon on the left in 5 and 6? I couldn't manage to enlarge it. Interesting place.
