Will be travelling overseas to South Asia on a holiday.
Need to purchase a carry on bag (airline acceptable cabin luggage) that can carry my 17" laptop, camera Nikon D750, 70/200 lens. Me thinks most appropriate would be a backpack or thereabouts.
I like the Think Tank range of bags but unsure what would suit the above, especially since my laptop is 17"
Appreciate any suggestions on bags
Thanks in advance

For overseas travel I have always use Tamrac Velocity sling-backs.
Made for under-the-seat in aircraft.

There are several sizes to suit all sizes of gear.

Look at the Think Tank Shape-Shifter https://www.thinktankphoto.com/collections/shape-shifter/products/naked-shape-shifter-17-v2-0?rfsn=141065.357734

This should serve your purpose. I used it on a recent trip to Botswana carring my laptop, iPad, camera body, 70-200, 17-35, and 35-70 lens. It fit easily in the overhead

I travel frequently from USA to SE Asia and I have been using the Tamrac Velocity 9 sling-back for many years. The OP has a requirement for packing a 17" laptop and there is no way to jam, cram or stuff one into my bag. Your video link references a Velocity 10, but upon examining the Tamrac website, it appears that they currently do not have any Velocity bags in their catalog. The Tamrac video link was created in 2008 and from what I have observed, they have overhauled their line of bags completely.

Other than the lack of laptop space, the Velocity series has met my needs for carrying D750 with 70-200 attached plus essentials using planes, taxis, busses, trams, MTR, as well as both urban environments and remote activities. I traveled to Germany and Sweden last month and actually put the Velocity 9 inside of my 21" Genius Pack carry-on luggage along with my computer and other gadgets. If gate-checking the bag would have been required, I was prepared to put the Velocity 9 under the seat in front of me and hand over the larger piece.

I am always looking for something "new" and "next best thing" when it comes to bags, but time after time, I revert back to my Velocity 9.

Highly recommended if you are able to locate one through the reliable on-line sources, although an additional piece will be required to accommodate the 17" laptop.
