Taking off owl

I just posted this under my wife's name. OOPs. I caught the owl just as he was taking off. He flew directly at me and am not sure how he missed me. Obviously my autofocus could not keep up with him. Very exciting.

Your first shot is a keeper for sure. Nice background, head angle and you got the whole bird in the frame. Easy to cut off wing tips in that scenario.
