A pox on facilities that don't allow cats. It's most unreasonable. We all know that pets make a positive difference in people's lives.

Thank you, Annie, for sharing these with us. I had a grey/brown tiger-striped cat companion from one of those rescue shelters for over 18 years; his name was Tenspeed. And also, thank you for your military service.

I've had so many nice responses to my post on Peek-A-Boo. I appreciate your comments, rjay. I was glad to share these. Tenspeed is a cool name. I had Peek for 12 years so it was hard to
part with him. It was a privilege to serve our country. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

My thoughts exactly. There are some facilities that allow pets but the cost was exorbitant. Thanks, DebAnn for viewing my post.

No reason to criticize these nice shots. Peek-A-Boo is a beautiful cat, and I'm sure the love between you two is mutual.

Even tho' Peek-A-Boo and I are no longer with each other, we still share a strong bond of love. I had Peek for over 12 years, so it was hard to part with him. He was
a beautiful cat with a fun personality. 🐱
Thank you for viewing my post and your nice comment.

If he is not too far away, I hope you get to visit. God bless.

I'm not able to visit Peek-A-Boo but had a visit from him. 🐱 Thank you for viewing my post. May God bless you also.

Ohhhh, Annie, I LOVE Peek-a-Boo! He looks like a combination of our longer-haired cat, Sylvester, who's in kitty heaven now, and our new little boy, Oreo, who's short-haired and has a black nose! And how nice to see YOU, too, Annie!

I've had so many nice responses and really appreciate yours. I had Peek-A-Boo for over 12 years so it was very hard to part with him. The family who adopted Peek spoil him rotten.
He didn't seem to know me but since I hadn't seen him for about 2 years, that was understandable.

Peek-A=Boo is seen in my Avatar. He was adopted by a family who adores him, because I'm living in a facility that does not allow pets.
I miss Peek but am thankful he's well taken care of. I know fellow Hog Chase likes cats and I'm sure there are other Hogs who do. Comments are welcome and if you wish to criticize,
please feel free to do so.

Annie, my late wife had a passion for kitties, so we had as many as six in our household at a time. This created a problem because we often moved from one state to another. Besides the occasional rented apartment or house, we bought and sold 10 houses in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, and Colorado. In every case, we packed them up in their carriers and took them on flights after tranquilizing them. My wife once took one of them with her on a transatlantic liner to Europe, then returned her by air so I could pick her up at Kennedy Airport in New York. We had the best-traveled pussycats in the world! But we gradually felt we had to slow down, so we stopped replacing them as they aged out. The final character cat, Cindy, said her goodbyes at age 14 to me in 2014, four years after my wife passed away. We enjoyed every one of them over the years, and I like to think they were just as pleased with us.

I enjoyed hearing about your kitties who were traveling companions. 🐱 I have a feeling from what I read, you had a mutual love. There is no doubt in my mind those kittys were
equally fond of you. Richard. It's comforting to know they crossed over Rainbow Bridge and will greet you in heaven. Thank you so much for sharing this. 😊
