But if they are white people, how can they be terrorists? The alt-rats told me that only non-white and non-Christian people can be terrorists.

Trump’s worst slaughter of civilians is the March 17, 2017 US airstrike on west Mosul in Iraq which killed 200+ civilians. The Iraqi government had told the residents of Mosul, then under occupation by ISIS, to remain indoors. The US knew or ought to have known west Mosul’s residents were in harm’s way.

Why does everybody else, including Al Jazeera, report only 105 deaths?

Btbg, you do not know your history. You would do well to study the years of bipartisanship during the last half of the 20th century, when the kind of obstructionism that runs rampant in today's Congress and Senate just didn't happen, anywhere near this level of petulant tribalism. It was common back then for the parties to cooperate in approving most SCOTUS nominees of the opposite party, barring some truly outrageous disqualifying aspects of the SCOTUS nominee. For you to claim that the Democrats during that time never voted for a conservative justice indicates that you just do not know your history. There is much you are either ignorant about, or being less than honest about, when you make such bogus blanket assertions like you just did.

Well, Bork immediately comes to mind if you are questioning my knowledge of history. And look at how many Republicans voted for both of Obamas supreme court appointees. Both of whom I view as unfit to serve on the court because they don't take the constitution literally.

And as far as false equivalency when you adapt the nuclear option whether it is for appeals courts or the supreme court the end result is the same.

As far as Biden it wasn't political posturing. He clearly meant it as did his compatriots. I agree with you that the Republicans adapting the nuclear option is not a very good idea. But it was a bad idea when Reid did it too.

You are right that obstructionism in the past didn't take place at this level, but you have some factual difficulties. It should be pointed out that Obama accomplished virtually all of his political objectives and made no effort to work in a bipartisan way. Now when the Republicans look like they may try to do the same thing you seem horribly offended.

Both sides are wrong, and although two wrongs don't make a right, what would you suggest Republicans do regarding the affordable care act. It was crammed down our throats with the famous quote we have to pass it so that we can see what's in it. It is going to bankrupt us if something isn't changed.

The cost is being born by the states. Example, Oregon has a projected 1 billion dollar shortfall for the next biennium even though tax revenue is the highest in history. Why? because of the Public Employees Retirement System and government entitlement programs, many of which are mandated by the feds. Example Medicaid and what used to be called food stamps.

The tax and spend policies of the last 12 years, because yes Bush was guilty of it too are bankrupting our country, yet Democrats just want to keep spending money and increasing taxes. As a taxpayer I'm fed up with it. I despise Trump, but at least he gets that we already pay too much in taxes and keep too little of what we work for.

Yes,

As Obama prepared to leave office, the unemployment rate was at 4.7 percent, less than half of the peak it reached in October 2009.
Respect for the United States internationally was at an all time high-

The horrors !!!

Lol-

Unemployment was at 4.7 percent because the government in their infinite wisdom don't count people who quit looking for work. While the unemployment rate is officially low, the number of people in the work force was at an all time low from a percentage standpoint. Statistics are a wonderful thing. You can make them say anything you want them too.

As far as our status internationally there was a post on one of the other threads about two days ago decrying Trump because he has hurt our favorability in Germany. Interestingly the op ed pointed out that our approval rating in Germany went from 76 percent to 24 percent during the Obama administration.

Add in how well Trump was received in Saudi Arabia and in Israel and it certainly doesn't look like Obama was that well thought of world wide.

I have come to distrust the official unemployment number for the exact reason you stated. The much more telling number is the Labor Participation Rate. It is the number that shows the percentage of the working-age population that is actually at work. This dropped under Obama from 66% to 62%, making it our lowest participation rate since the 1970's. The reason is that we are literally paying tens of millions of people not to work, by handing out welfare to anybody who wants it. This would include the Keen guy who snipes at your comments with incoherent ramblings.

You have actually deluded yourself into believing you are literally paying me not to work? You sure like to indulge in lots of cockeyed fantasies. I can assure you that not only are you not paying me not to work, I've paid more in business taxes than many of you right wing morons have earned in wages. Also, go ahead and look up average house prices in Santa Cruz County, California and then kindly explain to me how someone on the dole would be able to afford to own a house here.

Of course, you wingers also have a tendency to accuse every liberal you are debating of needing a job and of being on the dole, so there's that aspect as well. It's right out of the Winger Playbook, page #3, in the section on, "Ad hominem Diversions" under subsection 2a - 'Attacking Your Debate Opponent on the basis of race, sex, religion, nationality, and silly stereotypes about liberals'
