You're the one playing coy, as usual. This is your typical behavior, to make inferences that I'm the most loathed member of the Attic, and the one who lowered discourse into the sewer, and then run away and talk in circles when challenged on this bullshit, because you know it's bullshit.

Essentially Dave decided to jump on mwalsh's attack-Keenan-bandwagon to get in good with the boys, with all that entails. A key rule for the members of that bandwagon is to constantly follow me around from thread to thread and launch first strike juvenile attacks against me, often with homosexual themes and other sexual references, and then always shift the blame for their behavior onto me. Essentially, the game is to constantly attack attack attack, while continuously reminding the forum that I'm to blame for their trolling behavior.

Some of the people who attack you are people I don't care to even converse with. Others not so much. Like I said, I'm not prepared to point fingers concerning things I'm pretty sure I don't know the history of, plus if you are happy with how comport yourself, than good for you. If not that's up to you. I don't intend to pile on. I mostly enjoy your posts. Some are very thoughtful, others not so much. I didn't mean to judge, if that is what I've done.

Well, I'm certainly no saint, and I never insisted I was to anyone. Have I always chosen the best way to respond to the attacks? Probably not. Have I sometimes acted overly rude when I've been frustrated with people's stupidity or dishonesty? I'm sure I have.
To be honest, this petty juvenile crap that ruins so many threads is my least favorite aspect of the Attic. I came here to discuss current events and debate political issues, not to engage with grade school children. The problem is that there is a not insignificant number of right wing trolls who have the stunted maturity of 3rd graders and are here primarily to troll and behave like schoolyard bullies, not to engage in intelligent and mature discourse. It's an aspect that has driven away many good intelligent mature folks over the years, and will likely drive me away very shortly to more mature pastures. I can't say that I am a better person after hanging out here for a few years. In some ways, this environment has made me less of a person, with a lot more time I have put into trading insults and stupid petty sh!t than I care for. I have ended up spending way too much time on the useless petty juvenile stuff, being one of the trolls' favorite targets, rather than on the intellectually stimulating stuff I came here for.
Most forums have some level of troll control, to keep this kind of crap to a minimum. The admin here obviously doesn't care that allowing the trolls free reign ruins the environment for the more intelligent folks, and will likely destroy the community in the long run, as has happened to so many other internet forums with no troll control.

TRUMP’S FOREIGN TOUR
A new world order, with beacon of hope shining elsewhere
In the wake of President Trump’s recent visit, German Chancellor Angela Merkel concluded that “we Europeans must really take our fate into our own hands.” Meaning that the U.S. is no longer an ally in Europe’s quest for peace and security (and environmental sanity). For me, this comment brought home the overarching significance of the Trump administration: The roles of Europe and the U.S. have been inverted. Our national identity has been shaped by the idea that we are the beacon of reason and justice — the answer to Europe’s dark legacy of autocracy, tribalism and religious conflict. Sure, this was partly delusional (see slavery, Jim Crow, Native American history), but it held some deeper truth — at least in our aspirations, we were different.
But no more. The United States that Donald Trump and Steve Bannon envision is a dark, closed and frightening place. Germany — Germany! — once the heart of darkness, is now the shining city on the hill. In effect, Europe (at least the core led by Germany and France) is now the beacon of hope for us all. The old world has become the new one. It’s shocking, and unbearably sad, but I guess I should take comfort in knowing that, just as my ancestors maintained hope by looking across the Atlantic, I can do the same — looking in the opposite direction.

Hey Frosty, I thought most Democrats were against the U.S. being the policemen of the World. Your post seems to indicate otherwise. What say you?

I also know that with all the constant complaining and griping that you hear about America, coming mostly from other affluent Western Countries, we are still the place where everybody else wants to live.

None of those is true.
Then why do you think everybody else wants to live here? It seems to be a mystery to people on the left.

Maybe they should leave America and go back from whence their ancestors came. Then they don't have to worry. See how easy that was?

OK that actually sounds more like when I thought I joined. I read 2011 when I looked it up. No wonder I couldn't believe I'd been here so long. Thank you for the correction. I still don't believe you can blame the attic on Keenan.
No...but we got rid of Larry Payne (at least I think we did) and his sidekick seems to have left (Toothache). Unfortunately we have also lost Robertjerl, Prarie Seasons, and several others due to the increasingly toxic climate here. Pounder is not here nearly as much as he used to be and there are several others that have been gone for so long that I can't recall their nicks. I am sure the attrition is felt on both sides.
I could have sworn you were gone for a long time but who knows? I go through streaks here....away for a while and back for a while.

I just reread your post. I'm not sure we are talking about the same Clinton. The server didn't exist when they first started investigating Bill, and I've never heard him tied to it.
Well, you have meant Bill but you just said Clinton soooooo.....

"his absence?"
You mean the abscess? The large red inflamed boil that when punctured spews foul smelling puss fluids?
