These shots were all taken in my garden, hand held with the 70D, 50mm lens with a 20mm extension tube added on...

Who could not like a cute little bugger and beautiful colors?! Great job with your 50mm and extension tube, Angela!! If I tried to hand hold, that little bug would be doing the jitterbug.

LOL.... thanks Donna.... he was being very patient with me and I was practically on top of him!!

LOL.... glad you got a chuckle!!! But I'm sure my day won't improve...
but this is interesting! I googled about koi spawning and everything they said is what was going on in my pond!!! Even that you might find your fish in the skimmer, which we did!! It seems end of May or June is when this happens... figures it was my May in May!!! I just hope a few eggs survive... I'd be thrilled!!

wow that's close angela! you probable scared the little hoverfly half out of its wits! lol!
do hoverflies have wits? you did a good job, and doing it handheld
is awesome....mine would be so blurred you wouldn't be able to tell what it was!

Nice shots Angela but different colours for a Hover Fly..down here their stripes are more yellow, not so orange...slightly different pattern on the abdomen as well...

LOL... Merry he was so busy on his hover board, he didn't even notice the lens that was coming down on him!!
Glad you enjoyed... and I never use a tripod, I don't have the patience with that!
