This is a great site and I have really enjoyed reviewing the posts and pictures! My interest in improving my photography started 6 years ago with candid shots of family/friends. Have improved enough that I am now the primary photographer for our HS basketball team. I would really like to take my daughter's Senior pictures this summer so I am trying to learn as much as I can about portraiture and especially off camera lighting. Recently upgraded from the D7000 to my first FX camera -the D750. I've had it for 2 weeks and I absolutely love it! Thanks to everyone here who take the time to share their passion and knowledge! The newbies really do appreciate it!
This is one of the best sites to learn off camera flash, even on camera for that matter. And, welcome to UHH.

Welcome to the forum. You upgraded from the DX 7000 to the FX D750. Wise choice. You say you are the primary photographer for the HS basketball team. Just curious, are you allowed to use an external flash during the games? In my community, flash units are forbidden in gyms during games by spectators.
Lots of useful information in the search feature above. Welcome to the UHH
We are not able to use flash in gyms so depending on the lighting it can be a real challenge even with the 70-200 2.8 lens I have. The D750 should make it a little easier to get good shots in a poorly lit gym. Thanks!

Thanks. This rule appears to be nationwide.
Welcome to the Hog, enjoy.
