I spend a lot of time in the Destin/Ft.Walton Beach area. Plenty of great scenery. There's a restaurant called AJ's on the harbor with a great outdoor deck and you can get some nice sunsets from there with the Destin Bridge in the foreground. Also check out Holiday Isle. The very end of it where the breakwater is between the harbor and the gulf. Here's a shot of Destin Harbor taken with my Phantom 3. Hwy 98 is to the left and Holiday Isle is on the right. Also a sunset at the Ft. Walton pier.

Nice shots, I do like the sunset with the pier. I usually winter in Panama City Beach, that was the only year we stayed in Destin.

PCB is for the kids. Have you ever checked out some of the communities along 30A. Seaside, Seagrove , and Rosemary Beach are nice if you want to escape the crowds and tourist traps. Expensive but relaxing. Great little communities and perfect for getting around on a bicycle.

There are very few kids in PCB in the winter, everything is close and convenient. Besides I might be gray but I'm a kid at heart!

As I kid our family normally vacationed in PCB. Once I discovered Destin I never went back to PCB. Apparently it's not as bad as about 10 years ago. The city cracked down on the Spring Break crowd. The college kids spent a lot of money there but the police department had to work overtime and then some. I chaperoned a group of high school juniors and seniors there one year. Another dad was with me and he behaved worse than the kids. He invited me to go down the next Spring Break and I said "Hell No". None of our crew went to jail but it was very close on a few occasions. I'm glad those years are behind me.
