A $500 fine and a few weekends in jail for the parents sounds reasonable; no
need for the supreme court.

If you ain't interested why bother to post? Or even to read it in the first place.
This is Chit Chat!
Nothing much to do? I have seen several similar posts by you lately.
Idea, go take some pictures and post them or turn on TV news and yell at the screen.

As to the case.
I spent 34 years counting a year of student teaching in Los Angeles Unified School District, 29 of those in East Los Angeles and 15 of the them at a Jr High (7,8 &9th grades).
If this teacher couldn't take one 13 years old doing fake burps she needs to find a new line of work.
And the cop arrested the kid?! Really! The LAUSD PD (yes they have a real police dept of their own, third biggest in LA County after LAPD and LASO) wouldn't have done that unless their were other circumstances like a weapon, assault etc. If they arrested every kid who disrupted class they would spend 99+% of their time in court.

Your suggestion was gratuitous, at best. Please hold your breath until I accept it.

You are nothing but a troll. Apparently your idea of a fun day is to make nasty remarks to everyone. Why don't you just pick up your 3rd grade reader, do your homework and you might make it to 4th grade with the big boys in 4 or 5 years.

If the teachers held the control buttons for dog training collars on the class clowns we wouldn't need court time.

I suppose every arrest goes toward the total for the month.

I learned that our local high school now has a police officer assigned there on a regular basis.
