Photographic based portraiture

What I do is photographic portraiture. So I am posting this picture as an example of what I do. In all seriousness I don’t care what anyone else would have done with the picture or I would have posted in the analyze section.
I first make the image then I use the image as a base for the portrait.
Over the years I have created a style with which I am comfortable and is somewhat unique to me.
I strive to create an aura or atmosphere of mysterious sensuality in my female subjects and masculine sensuality in my male subjects.
I have created a large repertory of backgrounds which gives me versatility.
Actually, since beginning to use digital editing, I don’t think that I have ever made two portraits exactly the same. I do one size 16” x 20” matted.
This portrait is here for you to enjoy. If you like it feel free to say so. Likewise if you don’t.

Well done Henry,

I am of a similar persuasion to you. The image is just a starting point from where I can let loos on my creative side. I started out as a self-taught artist in watercolor and oils but getting a camera, computer and Photoshop has broadened my horizons..all without the mess and smell of paint. I visited a wolf sanctuary recently and this image was made using the Art History Brush. Good on ya for making your shots unique and individual to you.
